BMW M Paddock@BMW Square, Aoyama, Tokyo

At my dealers now to leave my 650i for a body repair where I had scratched the rear side wheel arch against the garage entrance back in May... that was only a month after my 650i was delivered! Since it will take few weeks to be repaired, I have also asked to repair the scratches on the 19inch alloys as well as to update the HDD navigation system as it had a habit of displaying German for some strange reason.
After signing up for a courtesy car (a 320i), moved upstairs to the 2nd floor to browse the M Paddock they have set up from October 24 through to end of January 2008. This is where I had pictured the Ruby Black M6 back in June. Inside they had the M3, M5, M6... and Z4 M Couple/Roadsters displayed in the outside terrace.

40th Tokyo Motor Show2@Makuhari-messe, Chiba

Still at the Motorshow. Now on to the 2007.11 face lifted version of the 6 series cabriolet, changes include LED turn indicators, redesigned front and rear bumper assy on the exterior. Interior changes includes new design gear knob, 'BMW Night Vision', 'Lane Departure Warning System', 'Head-up Display', 'Mode Preset Buttons' now comes standard... that's 5k~6k (circa 1million yen) worth of equipment!

Then moved on to see the Alpina B6S based on the face lifted 6 series range! This supercharged luxury machine boasts 537 horses with 0-60mph sprint at 4.5sec (coupe) and 4.8sec (cabrio.) with double the price tag (20million yen!) of standard 6 series that does this with 367 horses with 0-60 in 5.2sec (coupe) and 5.5 sec (cabrio).

40th Tokyo Motor Show1@Makuhari-messe, Chiba

Thanks to my BMW sales representative who has arranged me a pair of free tickets for the Tokyo Motorshow. Pictured here is the "Concept CS", first unveiled at the Shanghai Motorshow, coupe styled 4 door Granturismo concept is the ultimate compilation of modern BMW design identity. This surely shows the new design directions for the future models to come. Love to get my hands on it if this design comes into production (may be in 2~3 years?) at a realistic price tag... I guess it's something in between the current 6 series and 7 series range.
Hey, that's exactly 2 years since the last Tokyo Motorshow in 2005 visited on November 4th!
