Having sat in the M6, 650i, 650i cabriolet in many BMW and motoring exhibitions my mind is now telling me 'Feel! Do not Think!'. So I was on the way to the franchised BMW dealership in Yoga, Tokyo. This is where I usually take my current car Z3 for a service. I actually wanted to drive the 650i coupe but unfortunately none of the dealers in Japan are in posession of coupes but cabriolets.
Strange really. It was my first ever experience of test driving and was rather anxious how the whole process worked... Surprisingly when I got to the dealers they handed me the keys and let me drive off on my own! Guess that' s because they know where I live and got my Z3 as a hostage anyway.
So I took the advantage and taken the white 650i cabriolet for a good hour drive with the hood on and off in the winter cold! Foot down on the acceleration pedal you hear the deep V8 sound which hits you with a G!Tried the standard Hi-Fi systems with the CD I have brought. Good sound, must be much better with the optional logic 7 system.
Tried the i-drive for the first time too. Very tricky at first but once you realise the user interface system is built on simple logics then you should get the hang of it.
